The local Menhir in Brecé

Of all the people I know, megaliths reminded me most of Ryan. We exchanged several texts and photos of different ones I had come across in rural western France. They were just flat out impressive.

We have one dating back several thousand years right up the road from us in France. It's an amcient burial chamber and has been remarkably preserved and remains largely.

Looking out onto the corn and wheat rolling on the hills beyond it, this small stamp of history will always remind me of Ryan and all the conversations we got into about millenia-past and how small the modern world felt compared to the past.
